Water Nudge is a macOS menu bar app that reminds you to drink water and tracks your daily hydration. We respect your privacy. This policy explains exactly what the app does — and does not — do with your data.

TL;DR — We collect nothing.

No servers, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs. Your hydration data stays on your Mac.

What we collect

Nothing. Water Nudge does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. We have no servers, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services embedded in the app.

Where your data lives

All hydration entries, settings, and streak history are stored locally on your Mac using Apple's SwiftData framework. The data never leaves your device unless you opt in to one of the integrations below.

Optional integrations

iCloud — If you enable iCloud sync in macOS, your local data may be backed up by iCloud. This is governed by Apple's iCloud privacy policy.
macOS Notifications — The app schedules local notifications using Apple's UserNotifications framework. No notification content is ever sent to a server.

What we do not do

We do not show ads.
We do not include analytics or telemetry.
We do not sell, share, or rent any data.
We do not contact any third-party services from within the app.

Your control

You can delete all data at any time by:

Quitting Water Nudge
Removing the app from /Applications/
Deleting ~/Library/Containers/com.pentapod.waterreminder/

Children

Water Nudge is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this policy, the change will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and posted at the same URL.
